Growing up in Western Maryland, his joy for performing was evident at a young age when he found himself in numerous theatrical productions, most notably as Huckleberry Finn in Big River. Inspired by his love for The Wizard of Oz, he was gifted a pair of ruby slippers by his parents at age seven, which took him over a rainbow and he has been traveling down the yellow brick road ever since.

He followed his joy for the performing arts and went onto graduate with his BFA in Musical Theater from Shenandoah Conservatory in Virginia. Following college, he worked in regional and touring children’s theater before heading to New York City. In his fifteen years in the Big Apple, he’s played Off-Broadway and much of the cabaret circuit. Andy has also appeared on television shows such as Difficult People, Law & Order, Younger, and Broad City. His favorite stage performance to date has been the titular role in Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

He has worked alongside the legendary stylist Patricia Field (Sex and the City, The Devil Wears Prada) learning all about the fashion industry, which heavily influenced his love for eccentric style.

For five years, Andy was the co-creator, co-star, and booking manager for The Golden Gays, a Golden Girls drag musical where he starred as Blanche. Andy’s booking expertise elevated the company to new heights on tours all over the country, to cruise ships, RuPaul’s DragCon, and everywhere in between.

His theatrical and booking experience then landed him at the Triad Theater, one of New York City’s premier Off-Broadway and cabaret destinations, as the house manager, producer, and booker. Andy’s long running hit singer showcase, Bound For Broadway, runs at the Triad on a monthly basis.

Andy is now the Customer Experience Manager at The Book Of Mormon on Broadway with ATG Entertainment. He is also pursuing his masters degree in Arts and Cultural Management at Pratt Institute.

You can find him in Washington Heights with his husband and musical director extraordinaire Mason Griffin and their dog, Mabel.
