MADDIE: A Musical Comedy
MADDIE: New York City. Late 1970s. A liberated young couple’s blossoming romance is put to the ultimate test by the unwelcomed ghost of a 1920s dancer, who has returned seeking reconciliation for the mistakes of her past. Inspired by the real life of silent screen star Marian Marsh, this newly imagined musical features an illustrious score by Stephen Keeling and lyrics by Shaun McKenna, book by McKenna and Steven Dexter. Maddie appeals to both traditional and younger theater audiences with its sweeping melodies, energetic dance numbers, witty book scenes, and a leading lady who is simply to die for. As Maddie tells us, it’s time to seize the day!
